Bears win one Midland, lose one in Huntsville over the weekend

From the Muskoka Bears Jr C Hockey team:

Muskoka Bears were busy this past weekend with 2 road games.

Friday they travelled to Huntsville for a return game with the Otters, who came out flying and with 2 2nd period goals, and 3 in the 3rd, to defeat a game Bears squad 5-0. Bears fired 38 shots at Otters standout goalie Darien Willis,,but failed to capitalize.

Sunday, another road trip to Midland to play the Flyers, seen the Bears come out flying, as they scored one goal in the first and two in the middle frame, with Jacob Jennings getting the first 2 goals, then Jacob Budney put the Bears up 3-2, heading into the final period. Bears defence clamped down in the 3rd period, and Jacob Jennings secured his first PJHL hat trick to put the Bears up 4-2, then Tyson Jennings secured the win with an empty net goal to make the final 5-2.. It was Head coach Jake Yards 2nd win of the year.

Sunday – Muskoka Bears 5,Midland Flyers 2  in Midland
