In a recent Gravenhurst council meeting, members approved the hiring of Premier North Ltd. to undertake the Abbey Lane drainage improvements project at a tendered price of $1,043,420.
Premier North was identified as the lowest compliant bidder for the undertaking.
Construction is slated to begin on June 1, with the majority of the work anticipated to be completed by the end of September.
The project comprises the installation of a larger storm sewer along the municipally maintained sections of Abbey Lane and Winewood Avenue, along with necessary road rehabilitation.
