Allegedly impaired driver caught going more than 50 km/hr over in Bracebridge

On Thursday May 12, 2022 just before 8:00 p.m. a Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police officer was conducting speed enforcement on Ecclestone Drive in Bracebridge, ON when he stopped a vehicle travelling more the 50 km/hr in excess of the posted limit.

After a conversation with the driver and subsequent investigation, police arrested and charged 34 year-old David Farris of London, ON with Operation While Impaired CC 320.14(1)(a), Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b) and Stunt driving HTA 172(1).

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge, ON on June 7, 2022 to answer to his charges. Furthermore, his driver’s license has been suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded.
