“This image of ‘Island in the Distance’, 36″ x 48″, is an oil painting done on gallery canvas with the edges painted around. It has been done at home in my studio from a reference sketch and photos. I live on Skeleton Lake and this is a fall view from the top of the Devil’s Face cliff.”
About the artist:
“My fine art training has come from a University of Guelph fine art degree and 40 plus years of art teaching, plein air sketching and studio painting. It is a passion to take reference photos on Skeleton Lake, Algonquin Park and Georgian Bay while enjoying the outdoors. We live in a stunning part of this province and it is my pleasure to present some of these beautiful rugged areas to all and remind viewers that shorelines are best kept natural for all to enjoy far into the future.”
