The Bay & Beyond construction initiative is gearing up for its next phase, with significant work scheduled to commence the week of June 9, 2025. As part of this undertaking, Bay Street will temporarily close between Greavette and Sarah Street to facilitate underground improvements.
This phase will focus on essential upgrades, including:
- Improvements to water, sewer, and storm infrastructure
- Resurfacing of the road
- Installation of new sidewalks
- Enhancements to landscaping
During this construction period, James Street will remain open and will serve as the designated detour route, with signage posted for motorists. While most sidewalks will continue to be accessible for pedestrians, there may be brief closures in certain areas, with signage to ensure safe navigation around the construction zones.
