The Muskoka Bears Jr. C hockey team had a busy weekend with back-to-back games that featured the impressive debut of newcomer Sam Litt.
On Friday, the Bears traveled to Penetang and came up short in a 6–3 loss. Litt scored his first two goals as a Bear in the effort, earning Pita Pit Canada Player of the Game honours. Despite the defeat, the team battled hard on the smaller ice surface in a tough road matchup.
The Bears bounced back Saturday at home, edging the Midland Flyers 3–2 to avenge a loss from two weeks earlier. Litt once again played the hero, scoring the game-winner to lift Muskoka to victory in front of the home crowd at the Lumber Yard.
The Bears will look to carry that momentum into their next set of games as Litt continues to make an early mark with his new club.
