The latest round in the Battle of Muskoka unfolded over the weekend at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre, where the Bracebridge Bears continued their dominance over their northern rivals, the Huntsville Otters.
After two scoreless periods, former Otter Sam Litt broke things open in the third with a highlight-reel goal that sent the home crowd surging to its feet. The Bears kept the momentum rolling with additional tallies from Tyler Lasitz and Kevin Demuelles, skating away with a decisive 4–1 victory—their third straight win over the Otters this season.
The victory also marks a meaningful milestone: the Bears have now matched their total number of wins from last year, a clear sign of the team’s upward trajectory under new leadership and renewed chemistry on the ice.
Bracebridge will look to build on that momentum during a busy upcoming weekend. The Bears host the Alliston Hornets on Saturday before welcoming the Orillia Terriers on Sunday in what promises to be another high-energy pair of matchups.
