Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two operators with impaired driving offenses on September 22, 2024.
On September 22, 2024 just before 1:00 a.m., Bracebridge OPP officers, along with Muskoka EMS, responded to a crash notification from a vehicle on Kanien’kehá:ka Iohatátie (formerly Muskoka Road 38) on Wahta Mohawk First Nation. Officers attended and confirmed that the vehicle had left the roadway and crashed in the ditch.
Police have charged 31-year-old Jennifer HILL of Gravenhurst with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b). She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on October 5, 2024 to answer to her charges.
On September 22, 2024 at 7:30 p.m., Bracebridge OPP officers responded to concerns from members of the public about a male party who was impaired, and operating a motorized vessel in Isaac Bay on Moose Deer Point First Nation. Officers attended and conducted an investigation into the concern and subsequently arrested and charged 29-year-old Mathew WILLIAMS of Moose Deer Point First Nation with Refusal to Comply with Demand (breath) CC 320.15(1) and Operation While Prohibited CC 320.18(1)(a). He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on October 10, 2024 to answer to his charges.
