(Updated) Bracebridge OPP investigate drowning

Bracebridge OPP officers were dispatched at 1:10 p.m. today, July 2nd, to attend a possible drowning in Arnolds Bay near Moose Deer Point after members of the public saw a man having difficulty in the water, slipping under and seemingly did not resurface. Officers, along with Muskoka EMS, Moose Deer Point Fire Department, the OPP Marine Unit and the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) attended and are currently searching the area for the person.

*** Updated at 4:25 on July 2 – At 4:25 p.m. the USRU recovered the body of 61 year-old Errol Knight of Caledon and unfortunately life-saving efforts were unsuccessful.
