On Saturday, October 18, the Town of Bracebridge recognized and celebrated community members for their contributions at the Community Recognition Awards in the Muskoka Leon’s Auditorium at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre. The program recognizes residents for their valuable contributions to the community in two categories: Community Service Awards and Community Sport Awards.

Community Service Awards
- Sharon Davis, Bracebridge Senior of the Year Award
- John De Koning, Bracebridge Good Citizenship Award
- Gary Denniss, Award of Merit
- Gail Jackson, Bracebridge Volunteer Service Award
- Mary-Lou Matchett, Bracebridge Volunteer Service Award
- Jan Olsson, Outstanding Volunteer Achievement Award
- Bracebridge Horticultural Society, Mayor’s Award of Excellence
Community Sports Awards
- Jacquelin Hanna, Bracebridge Community Coach of the Year
- Sydney Freeman, Jim Quigley Memorial Athlete of the Year
