Busy Bears have strong weekend showing

It was a weekend of ups and down for the Muskoka Bears Jr C Hockey team.

On Friday the Bears travelled to Alliston to take on 28-0 Hornets.

Bears goaltender Connor Sampson stopped an unprecedented 66 shots, in leading Bears to a huge upset win 5-4 in a shootout, and ending Alliston’s 28-game win streak. Hayden Anderson scored the shootout winner.

The Muskoka Bears returned home from a thrilling victory in Alliston to face the Penetang Kings Saturday night but couldn’t maintain the momentum, falling 5-0 on home ice.
Despite the tough loss, the evening wasn’t short on excitement as we welcomed Community Living South Muskoka for a night of fun, including a lively noise-maker giveaway that had the crowd buzzing!

The Bears hosted a matinee game vs Midland on Sunday, where they lost in overtime 2-1.

The Bears host Orillia on wed at 730 at MLCC, for their next action.
