On July 17, 2021 at 12:27 p.m., Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a complaint from a member of the public after hearing what he believed was a motor vehicle collision on Fraserburg Road in the Town of Bracebridge.
Police responded and located a male that travelled approximately 100 meters off the roadway knocking down two posts some guard rail wire and multiple trees . Officers subsequently arrested and charged the driver, 23 year-old Johnathon Robichaud of Burlington, ON with Operation While Impaired by Drug CC 320.14(1)(a). He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on September 7, 2021 to answer to this charge. Furthermore driver’s license has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
