Children’s Foundation offers grants to help send kids to camp

It’s time to start thinking about summer camp!

As camp season approaches, and COVID restrictions start to lift, Muskoka camps are looking forward to welcoming children to their programs once again.

Summer camp provides children with invaluable opportunities to develop practical, social, and leadership skills. At the Children’s Foundation of Muskoka, we want to ensure that no child gets left behind, and that anyone who wishes to attend one of Muskoka’s great camps has the chance to do so.

The Children’s Foundation of Muskoka offers grants to help offset costs of both residential and day camp programs to low- to moderate-income families who reside in Muskoka.

Due to the generosity of donations to our Campership Fund, we are able to assist children who may otherwise not have the opportunity to attend camp.

Application forms can be found on our website at [email protected]. Parents choose the camp they wish their child to attend, and apply for financial aid through our website application.

The Children’s Foundation will review each application and, if the applicable criteria are met, will pay the camp directly to cover up to $1,000 toward an overnight program and $500 toward a day camp program.

Applications are reviewed on the first Tuesday of each month, and we encourage families to apply now as camps are quickly filling up their sessions.

Please visit childrenofmuskoka.com or call 705-641-9455 for more information, and happy camping!
