It was the Canadian equivalent of a royal wedding as hockey superstar Connor McDavid wed long-time girlfriend, designer Lauren Kyle last month on Lake Muskoka.
The wedding took place on Old Woman Island, a small strip of land just north of Walker’s Point. The ceremony took place on a floating dock that was specially brought in for the wedding. At least two of McDavid’s Edmonton Oiler teammates joined him at the intimate ceremony.
McDavid also proposed to Kyle in Muskoka, according to an article published in Australian Vogue magazine.
The elaborate ceremony was covered extensively by both national and international press.
