Breached terms
In Bracebridge court on Tuesday, Jesse Adair, 31, pleaded guilty to breaching the terms of his release by not being with his surety.
Court heard that in October 2021 Bracebridge OPP were called to a suspicious vehicle in Gravenhurst. When they arrived they observed two females pulling an unconscious male, who turned out to be Adair, into a vehicle. The OPP then called the paramedics to attend to Adair.
At the time, Adair was under conditions of his release to live with a surety, who he was not with.
Court heard Adair has a lengthy criminal record and he was sentenced to 30 days in jail.
Careless driving
Bracebridge court heard that on July 21, 2020 police were parked on Hwy 169 in Muskoka Lakes Township when a pickup truck drove past with no tail lights and no muffler.
They pulled the vehicle over and found Evan Beausoleil, 24, inside and smelled alcohol on his breath.
He admitted that he had been consuming alcohol but refused to take a breathalyzer test, saying that he would likely fail such a test.
In court he pleaded guilty to careless driving and was sentenced to 12 months probation, a $1,000 fine, and he was ordered to have an alcohol interlock ignition device installed in his vehicle.
