Huntsville, two new cases

Case summary for Muskoka:

Cases to date: 742

Active infections: 60 including three in hospital

Deaths: seven (three in Huntsville, one in Lake of Bays, one in Muskoka Lakes, one in Bracebridge, one in Gravenhurst)

Resolved cases: 675

Muskoka cases to date with confirmed or suspected variants of concern:
Alpha (B.1.1.7): 185
Beta (B.1.351): one
Gamma (P.1): five
Delta (B.1.617): 213
Screened positive for a mutation of interest: 27

Muskoka cases to date by municipality:

  • Huntsville: 233 (43 active including two in hospital, 187 resolved, three deceased)
  • Lake of Bays: 39 (none active, 38 resolved, one deceased)
  • Muskoka Lakes: 132 (one active, 130 resolved, one deceased)
  • Bracebridge: 171 (10 active including one in hospital, 160 resolved, one deceased)
  • Gravenhurst: 124 (three active, 120 resolved, one deceased)
  • Georgian Bay: 43 (three active, 40 resolved)

Recent school outbreaks in Muskoka (total number of cases)

  • Spruce Glen Public School, Huntsville – declared Nov. 22, 2021; 21 cases as of Nov. 30
  • Monck Public School, Bracebridge – declared Nov. 19, 2021; three cases as of Nov. 29
  • VK Greer Public School, Port Sydney – declared Nov. 9, 2021; 13 cases as of Nov. 29

Immunizations

Muskoka residents age 12 and older

  • First dose: 51,348 (85.4 per cent)
  • Second dose: 49,600 (82.5 per cent)

Simcoe Muskoka residents age 12 and older

  • First dose: 469,945 (77.7 per cent)
  • Second dose: 450,682 (74.6 per cent)
  • Third dose: 27,949 (4.6 per cent)

**The health unit does not provide data for separate regions, but for Simcoe Muskoka as a whole:
