Active infections: 72 including two in hospital

Deaths: seven (three in Huntsville, one in Lake of Bays, one in Muskoka Lakes, one in Bracebridge, one in Gravenhurst)

Muskoka cases to date by municipality:

  • Huntsville: 259 (15 active including two in hospital, 241 resolved, three deceased)
  • Lake of Bays: 40 (one active, 38 resolved, one deceased)
  • Muskoka Lakes: 140 (six active, 133 resolved, one deceased)
  • Bracebridge: 193 (14 active, 178 resolved, one deceased)
  • Gravenhurst: 134 (nine active, 124 resolved, one deceased)
  • Georgian Bay: 75 (27 active, 48 resolved)

Recent school outbreaks in Muskoka (total number of cases)

  • Monsignor Michael O’Leary, Bracebridge – declared Dec. 3, 2021; three cases as of Dec. 15
  • Spruce Glen Public School, Huntsville – declared over Dec. 10, 2021; 25 cases total
  • VK Greer Public School, Port Sydney – declared over Dec. 3, 2021; 13 cases total

Immunizations

Muskoka residents age 12 and older*

  • First dose: 51,338 (85.4 per cent)
  • Second dose: 49,722 (82.7 per cent)

*SMDHU does not currently include 5 to 11 year-olds in its overall counts for the region. To date, 34 per cent of this age group in Muskoka have received a first dose.

Simcoe Muskoka residents age 5 and older

  • First dose: 480,142 (83.5 per cent)
  • Second dose: 451,804 (78.6 per cent)
