The percentage of completed COVID-19 tests that are positive for the COVID-19 virus during the specified period.

Active hospitalizations in Simcoe Muskoka:
- 45, including nine in ICU as of Feb. 17
- A weekly snapshot as of Feb. 16. Of the 43 active hospitalizations on that date:
- Nine are in Muskoka, 34 in Simcoe
- 74 per cent are over 60 years old, four are under 45
- Five are associated with institutional outbreaks
- 38 are sporadic cases in the community
- 16 (37 per cent) are unvaccinated, four have had a single dose of vaccine, 15 (38 per cent) have had two doses of vaccine, and eight have had three doses of vaccine
- Of the 12 in ICU, six are unvaccinated, five have received two doses of vaccine

For the week ending Feb. 16, there were 11 deaths in Simcoe Muskoka:

- Gender: eight male, three female
- Vaccination status: six had two or more vaccinations, five were unvaccinated
- Four were associated with institutional outbreaks
