Disturbance call in Bracebridge ends with impaired conviction

A call to the police over a disturbance ended with a man charged for impaired driving, a Bracebridge court heard recently.

Last month Jonathon Addison, 31, pled guilty to driving with over 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood, stemming from an April 7, 2023,  incident.

The court heard that on that day at roughly 9 pm police received a call regarding a disturbance at a Bracebridge residence. As police addressed the situation, a pick-up truck backed into the driveway. Police spoke with the driver, Addison,  who admitted to drinking.

He later blew readings of 130 mg of alcohol.

Addison was ultimately sentenced to a $1,500 fine and a one-year driving ban.
