Driver who crashed into snowbank was double the limit 

A Huntsville woman will be off the roads for a year after an impaired driving collision.

Tiffany Gallant-Macedo, 38, pled guilty in a Bracebridge courtroom recently to driving with over 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood in her system.

Court heard that on Jan. 29, 2025, at 9 pm, OPP officers were dispatched to a vehicle that hit a snowbank on Muskoka Rd. 3 North in Huntsville.

Upon arrival, police spoke with a witness who indicated they believed the driver was intoxicated.

Court heard Gallant-Macedo fell while exiting the vehicle and ultimately blew readings of 226 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood, 

She was sentenced to a $2000 fine, 12 months probation, and a 12-month driving ban.
