A Bracebridge man recently admitted to visiting a local drive-thru while having more than double the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
David Vigeon, 62, appeared in a Bracebridge courtroom and pled guilty to having more than 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood in his system.
Court heard that on Oct. 3, 2021 police received a complaint regarding a suspected impaired driver. The caller said Vigeon went through the drive-thru of a Bracebridge fast food restaurant but was slurring his words and he mistakenly put the car in reverse.
The police located Vigeon shortly after the call and he admitted to having consumed alcohol. He ultimately blew 2.5 times the legal limit.
He was sentenced to a 12-month driving ban and a $2,000 fine.
