The Dwight Winter Carnival returns for its 51st year today and tomorrow starting at the Dwight Community Centre.
There is no other activity more synonymous with winter fun than the traditional winter carnival. February is the month for winter carnivals and Dwight will host theirs this weekend with activities for young and old.
The fun kicks off with a beach-themed Kids Kapers taking place at the Dwight Community Centre today from 5:30-7:30 pm! Kids Kapers is a night of games, food (tacos anyone?!) and prizes where everyone is a winner!
Games include:
- Ring Toss
- Hockey Challenge
- Mini Golf
- Connect 4
- Duck Races
- Balloon Pop
- & More!
The main event kicks off on Saturday, February 25 once again at the Dwight Community Centre with a full schedule of events planned throughout the day:
- Dwight Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast: 8:30 – 10:15 am (by donation)
- Speaking of Wildlife – Wildlife Exhibits: 8:30 am – 4 pm
- Oversized Games: 9 am – 4 pm
- 25′ Rock Climbing Wall: 9 am – 4 pm
- Zorbs: 9 am – 4 pm
- Fish Pond: 9 am – 4 pm
- All-Star 9 Hole Mini Golf: 9 am – 4 pm
- Twinspin Ride: 9 am – 4 pm
- Archers of Muskoka – Archery: 10am – 4pm
- Muskoka Goat Away – Visits with Goats: 10 am – 3 pm
- Erika’s Bakery – Doughnut Decorating: 11 am – 3 pm
- Kiwanis BBQ Lunch, Coffee & Hot Chocolate: 11:30 am -2:30 pm
- Speaking of Wildlife – Wildlife Shows: 10 am & 1 pm
- Horse Drawn Wagon Rides: 11 am – 3 pm
- Erika’s Bakery – Tea Making: 1 – 2 pm
