This calendar is reserved for non-commercial local community events. What does that mean? Your event must be free or of nominal cost, available to anyone (although adult-only events are fine), and not for profit. (We do make exceptions for artists showing their work who would profit from any sales made and musicians hosting small-scale concerts). Not sure if your event fits? Drop us a line at [email protected] to check, or go ahead and submit anyhow – submissions are moderated and we will approve yours if it fits our criteria. Thanks for helping make Muskoka a vibrant community!
A NIGHT TO WRITE
with Muskoka Authors Association
Join members of Muskoka Authors Association on Thursday, March 13 for an evening of writing and inspiration! Bring your notebooks, pens, computers, tablets – whatever you need to respond to writing prompts provided and try your hand at free writing. Writing prompts encourage you to play and explore ideas you might not have considered and can help you to refine your craft. Free writing allows you to write without any expectations to download feelings, stresses and release you from the need for perfection.
Participants will have the opportunity to share their work if they choose. This is an event for both beginning and experienced writers. You will almost certainly surprise yourself. Be prepared to come away with new ideas and new potential projects.
Location: Bracebridge United Church, 46 Dominion Street, Bracebridge, lower level. Enter by door on the southside driveway.
Time: 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm
