This calendar is reserved for non-commercial local community events. What does that mean? Your event must be free or of nominal cost, available to anyone (although adult-only events are fine), and not for profit. (We do make exceptions for artists showing their work who would profit from any sales made and musicians hosting small-scale concerts). Not sure if your event fits? Drop us a line at [email protected] to check, or go ahead and submit anyhow – submissions are moderated and we will approve yours if it fits our criteria. Thanks for helping make Muskoka a vibrant community!
Groove Marmalade
Music through the Decades to Keep you Movin’ & Groovin’
Sunday, July 23 • 7:30 PM
Groove Marmalade are the ultimate party dance band. Featuring a vast repertoire of number hit songs from the 50s and 60s, the retro hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s, current Top 40, and even Latin and Caribbean dance music! Dressed in cool and colorful attire, Groove Marmalade’s youth and vitality keeps everyone movin’ and groovin’. With a driving rhythm section, horns, a hot male singer and two beautiful female singers, they can’t be beat!
The “Music on the Barge” concert series is the largest outdoor concert series north of Toronto and draws thousands of seasonal and permanent residents to the shores of Gull Lake to enjoy a great evening of musical entertainment at this unique waterfront setting.
Admission is by a FREE WILL OFFERING which ensures that this great community tradition continues. In the event of rain or lightning, concerts will be CANCELLED for the safety of the audience and performers. A decision will be made by 5:00 PM. Even if the weather clears by 7:30 the show will NOT proceed because this does not allow time for setup and sound check. Follow us on Facebook for event updates.
