This calendar is reserved for non-commercial local community events. What does that mean? Your event must be free or of nominal cost, available to anyone (although adult-only events are fine), and not for profit. (We do make exceptions for artists showing their work who would profit from any sales made and musicians hosting small-scale concerts). Not sure if your event fits? Drop us a line at [email protected] to check, or go ahead and submit anyhow – submissions are moderated and we will approve yours if it fits our criteria. Thanks for helping make Muskoka a vibrant community!
Please join the Muskoka Concert Band on Saturday, December 16th at 2:00 pm at Trinity United Church in Gravenhurst or Monday, December 18th at 7:30 pm at Trinity United Church in Huntsville for A Muskoka Christmas, our annual Christmas Concerts.
The concerts will take a holiday trip to Muskoka through music of the season. We’ll start out on a beautiful journey with Robert Sheldon’s Incandescent Sky and then deck some cheery halls with Fa La La and All That by Ross Hastings. The audience will help us to write a letter to Santa on The Typewriter before we take a Midnight Sleighride. You will hear many holiday classics from carols to popular songs in medleys like A Christmas Rhapsody, Hanukkah Highlights, and Home for Christmas and what Christmas concert would be complete without an audience sing-along to some of our favourites and the amazing Pru Donaldson reading ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas?!
Boy! They sure had super cool looking trucks back then.
