This calendar is reserved for non-commercial local community events. What does that mean? Your event must be free or of nominal cost, available to anyone (although adult-only events are fine), and not for profit. (We do make exceptions for artists showing their work who would profit from any sales made and musicians hosting small-scale concerts). Not sure if your event fits? Drop us a line at [email protected] to check, or go ahead and submit anyhow – submissions are moderated and we will approve yours if it fits our criteria. Thanks for helping make Muskoka a vibrant community!
Please join the Muskoka Concert Band, under the direction of Fran Harvey, for our annual Christmas Concert. This year we are being hosted by the Bracebridge Public Library on Saturday, December 14th at 2:00 pm.
Our Christmas concerts always include many of your Holiday Favourites and a few new pieces for you as well. This year you will hear a beautifully arranged version of the ancient hymn, O Come O Come Emmanuel in a setting for concert band by Mark Williams entitled A Winter’s Carol, a delightful medley called A Legend of Kings by Charles Richard Spinney, and even a little Mariah Carey with All I Want for Christmas is You.
For those of you who are winter sports enthusiasts we have a fun piece called Ski Run by Caesar Giovannini. You also will get your annual chance to sing with the MCB!
Please join us on December 14th for some holiday cheer!
