This calendar is reserved for non-commercial local community events. What does that mean? Your event must be free or of nominal cost, available to anyone (although adult-only events are fine), and not for profit. (We do make exceptions for artists showing their work who would profit from any sales made and musicians hosting small-scale concerts). Not sure if your event fits? Drop us a line at matt.driscoll@doppleronline.ca to check, or go ahead and submit anyhow – submissions are moderated and we will approve yours if it fits our criteria. MUSKOKA EARTH FESTIVAL
May 28
On Saturday, May 28, 2022 the first ever Muskoka Earth Festival will celebrate Muskoka as a beautiful place to live and work. This not-for-profit event is designed to inspire people to value the region’s rich ecology, and to equip them to preserve it for future generations by embracing earth-friendly living.
From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. the fairgrounds will hum with the joyful sounds of people of every age, stage and economic category discovering that they are not alone in their commitment to a healthy planet. The eco-imagination of local artists and craftspeople will be on display. Muskoka-based entrepreneurs with creative products and green technologies will populate a green marketplace designed to help people live more sustainable lifestyles.
