This calendar is reserved for non-commercial local community events. What does that mean? Your event must be free or of nominal cost, available to anyone (although adult-only events are fine), and not for profit. (We do make exceptions for artists showing their work who would profit from any sales made and musicians hosting small-scale concerts). Not sure if your event fits? Drop us a line at [email protected] to check, or go ahead and submit anyhow – submissions are moderated and we will approve yours if it fits our criteria. Thanks for helping make Muskoka a vibrant community!
The popular “Muskoka Mom Prom” will be back this Spring and held on Friday, May 12 – Mother’s Day weekend – at The Muskoka Foundry in Bracebridge.
Organized by Muskoka-based Primp & Pop Event Co. this year’s Mom Prom theme is “Revenge of the Bridesmaids”. Attendees are encouraged to dust off their old bridesmaid dresses – whether they’re tacky or classy!
You do not have to be a mom to attend – all self-identifying women who are aged 19+ are welcome. Proceeds will be donated to YWCA Muskoka, a local charity that champions positive change for girls, women and gender diverse people in the community.
Tickets are $85 (inclusive of tax and the ticket processing fee) and are available via EventBrite. Ticket price includes a welcome drink, appetizers, entertainment, a chance to win some amazing prizes, silent auction, and a donation to YWCA Muskoka.
