From the Muskoka Authors Association:
The Muskoka Authors Association invites the community to join the exciting conclusion of the 11th Annual TALL PINE TALES, a beloved literary event series celebrating both seasoned and emerging writers from the Muskoka region. The fourth and final installment for 2024 will take place on Thursday, October 3rd, at 6:00 pm in the multi-purpose room at the new Bracebridge Public Library, located just past the Independent Grocer on Salmon Avenue.
TALL PINE TALES, the brainchild of the late Melody Richardson, continues to uphold her vision of supporting and promoting local writers. Attendees will be treated to a rich variety of readings, from historic fiction to poetry, humorous personal accounts, suspense-filled short stories, and excerpts from novels. Each evening promises a captivating lineup of entertainment that showcases the diverse talents of the Muskoka writing community.
Wendie Donabie, an artist and debut author of the nature-inspired anthology of poetry VIEWS FROM THE EDGE OF THE EARTH, will serve as the evening’s Master of Ceremonies. Donabie’s deep appreciation for the natural world and passion for storytelling will guide attendees through an unforgettable evening of literary exploration.
Admission is by donation, with all proceeds supporting the purchase of books and supplies for local host libraries. Refreshments will be provided.
For more information and event updates, visit the Muskoka Authors Association Facebook page or contact Wendie Donabie at 705-646-3663.
