Gravenhurst agrees to purchase $1.3 million in new vehicles 

The Town will soon have four new vehicles to add to its fleet, including a new fire truck.

During the most recent Gravenhurst Town Council meeting, council agreed to purchase the new vehicles at a total cost of $1.3 million.

The most expensive of the purchases was a new pumper truck for the Gravenhurst Fire Department for $762,320, excluding HST. The truck will replace an existing vehicle at Fire Station 3 in Barkway.

Council authorized staff to place a 10 percent down payment for the vehicle with the remainder to be paid from the 2025 capital budget.

Council also agreed to purchase a single axle plow and two hybrid model half-ton pickups for $130,858.
