Leadership of the Gravenhurst Chamber of Commerce has officially changed hands.
After six years at the helm of the Chamber, Executive Director Sandy Lockhart has officially passed the reins on to Adam Crockatt.
“Today is my last day at the Chamber and I’d like to thank all of those who have made the past five and a half years such an adventure,” said Lockhart today in a message to the Chamber membership. “While I’ve loved the variety of meeting new and supporting existing members, events, advocacy, tourism and more, now it’s time for a bit more of a work-life balance.”
Lockhart is a longtime Gravenhurst resident and said she will continue to champion the community and the Chamber.
Adam Crockatt is an Ottawa University grad, who spent 10 years working for Hockey Canada in Calgary. In that role, he managed men’s national teams at various tournaments and events across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia.
He eventually settled in Gravenhurst and took on the role of sales manager for the Sawdust City Brewing Company. He went on to start up his own business GREENish, with a focus on sustainability and waste management.
“I’m very excited for this opportunity with the Chamber, and learning how we can best provide support to our members and contribute in a positive way to the community,” said Crockatt.
