From the Town of Gravenhurst:
The Gravenhurst Public Library is excited to share their new summer program calendar filled with free exciting programming for all ages, all summer long.
On Monday, July 4 at 3:00 pm, the library will officially kick off their summer programming season with a special launch event at the Lions Pavilion at Muskoka Wharf, 810 Bay St.
“It’s been two years since we’ve been able to welcome the community back into the library for programs and we have such a jam-packed summer planned,” said Jennifer Whipp, Child and Youth Services Librarian. “On July 4th, we’ll be sharing details of our programming including the discovery series filled with geocaching or stop motion animation, fairy garden fun, mini makers, reading clubs, story times and much more. There are so many great programs for people of all ages to enjoy and have some hands-on fun,” said Whipp. “To celebrate our launch, we’re thrilled to have Stunt Ventriloquist Tim Holland join us to entertain everyone,” she added.
The fun won’t be just limited to the library this summer; Staff will also be out at the Gravenhurst Farmers’ Market each Wednesday with stories, games, crafts, and songs. Drop by and say hello!
For those still a little cautious about returning to the library, there are ‘take and makes’ and outdoor programs for the whole family, including a great new hands-on activity called ‘Nailed it’.
Programs will run weekly, Monday to Friday. Calendars will be available at the launch event, at the library and online at www.gravenhurstlibrary.com.
