The Town of Gravenhurst is inviting residents to submit photographs they have taken that showcase the spirit of our community.
The purpose of this call for submissions is to find an appropriate photo to display on the wall in the council chambers at 3-5 Pineridge Gate.
This initiative is spearheaded by the Public Art Advisory Committee and submissions are welcome until June 26.
Entries will be reviewed by the committee. If the committee selects an image the photographer will receive an honorarium for their work.
What you need to know before submitting a photograph
- Photographs must be original and taken by the individual submitting them for consideration.
- An individual is welcome to submit up to three photographs.
- Photographs can be colour or black and white.
- Only residents of Gravenhurst are welcome to submit photographs for consideration.
- File Name must be FirstName_LastName_NameofPhoto
- Resolution: 300 DPI/PPI at 100% of its size (note the chosen photo may be printed at 48 inches x 54 inches so must be at minimum 14,400 pixels x 16,200 pixels)
- TIFF files preferred

Images must be submitted using our Google Drive.
Other important information
This is a call for photographs. The town is under no obligation to select an image for display.
If an image is chosen for the council chambers by the Public Art Advisory Committee, the photographer and the photograph they submitted will be featured on the town website and social media channels. We want to celebrate community talent.
