Please be advised of the following Swim Advisory updates for the Town of Gravenhurst:
Based on beach water samples collected on July 6, 2022, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is recommending that Gull Lake Park Beach (Third St, Gravenhurst) be posted with swim advisory signs.
The geometric mean of samples collected from the beach was 610 E. coli per 100 mL which exceeds the provincial standard of 200 E. coli per 100 mL
The Swim Advisory issued for Muskoka Beach Park (1141 Muskoka Beach Rd) on June 29th, has been lifted, effective immediately.
The Town, in partnership with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, will continue to monitor all municipal beaches and water quality, and advise the public should there be any concerns.
We thank the public for their cooperation and understanding. For additional information on beach water testing, please visit the SMDHU website: www.simcoemuskokahealth.org/Topics/SafeWater/BeachWater/BeachPostings
