After a reservation period that lasted several months, the bungalow townhomes at Highcrest are officially selling. After a bunch of ‘i’ dotting, the formal purchasing of these lovely homes has finally arrived.

Although not listed on MLS, Realtor.ca, or other real-estate listing services, information about Highcrest is easy to find – register at livehc.ca, email sales@edgewoodmuskoka.com or call our offices directly at 705-224-4663. When driving through Huntsville, you can glimpse this future community on the north side of Hanes Rd, with a viewing area at number 46 (just look for the A-frame and 12 ft signs).

Infrastructure and construction updates

As with any new community, having allocation of resources is critical. With the core infrastructure underway – sewers, hydrants and all – there are no concerns or holdups with scheduled occupancy related to infrastructure.

The first block of six homes is expected to be completed for occupancy by the end of 2021, with construction of these homes currently underway. Unfortunately, these first units are sold out, but there is still a variety of occupancy dates to choose from.

What’s available now

It is quite common for a small percentage of reservation holders to change their mind when the chance to convert their reservation to a formal purchase arrives. For Highcrest, this process has seen a small selection of homes returning to our pool of available homes.

A couple of these homes were among the very first to be reserved and will likely sell quickly, but for consumers previously disappointed we’d recommend connecting with us at sales@edgwoodmuskoka.com to get the most up-to-date pricing and availability.

Homes at Highcrest are well priced and will sell quickly. Formal purchasing has just begun in the past week and 70 per cent of the available units are already sold. Check in with our team to see if there is a unit that meets your needs.

Future releases

It is well known that the first 33 homes at Highcrest are just the first release for this community. Although in the planning stages, the details of future releases will not be available for some time. If you are interested in future homes, please be sure to register at livehc.ca to get all the information as soon as it becomes available.

Although it’s impossible to predict the future, based on historical trends it is likely the homes in the first release will increase in value by the time they are completed, and it’s likely subsequent releases will be valued higher. If purchasing with investment in mind, earlier is often the best choice.

Finishes and upgrades

We at Edgewood Homes are proud to address any finishing questions/concerns by providing details regarding standard and upgraded finishes. Your customization process is supported by an extensive design guide, and our complete catalogue will allow you to keep within your budget.

Although not a model home, our showroom displays a selection of standard and upgraded finishes. The overall space maintains the open and light feeling that Edgewood Homes are known for.

At Highcrest, you don’t have to break the bank with upgrades to have a gorgeous quality-built home.

Under the watchful eye of company principal David Goodfellow, Edgewood Homes has established a pre-eminent position at the leading edge of residential design and construction in Muskoka for the past 20+ years.
