Golfers and community members are invited to take part in the 2025 Hines Memorial Fundraiser Golf Tournament, set for Saturday, September 20 at Muskoka Highlands Golf Links. The annual event, open to all, will use a shotgun scramble format, giving participants a chance to enjoy friendly competition while supporting a great cause.
Organizers encourage everyone—regardless of skill level—to join for a day of golf, camaraderie, and charitable giving. The tournament is a key fundraiser for Special Olympics Muskoka, helping to cover essential expenses such as uniforms, equipment, facility rentals, accommodations, and medals for athletes.
Registration begins at 12:30 p.m., with the shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. Following the tournament, participants and supporters are invited to a dinner and silent auction at 6:30 p.m. at The Highlands Golf Links. The entry fee is $180 per person.
“This event is vital for our athletes,” organizers said. “We need more golfers to ensure its success, and all proceeds go directly to supporting Special Olympics Muskoka.”
Special Olympics Ontario is committed to enriching the lives of Ontarians with intellectual disabilities through sport and relies on the generous support of volunteers, coaches, and donors.
