From Jackson’s Hope for Hydrocephalus:
On Saturday, September 28, 2024, the Muskoka Highlands Golf Links will host the 15th Annual JACKSON’S HOPE FORE HYDROCEPHALUS golf event, a special day dedicated to raising awareness and support for Hydrocephalus Canada and the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation.
This year’s event is especially significant as it marks 15 years of community solidarity, driven by the inspiring story of Jackson, a young man who has undergone nine brain surgeries and continues to live life with unyielding passion and optimism.
Jackson, a vibrant member of the Hydrocephalus Canada community, has become a beacon of hope and resilience. Growing up with hydrocephalus, he has faced numerous challenges, yet his zest for life and determination to overcome obstacles inspire everyone around him. His strength, resilience, and larger-than-life personality have made him and his family cherished members of the Hydrocephalus Canada community.
Last year’s event saw an overwhelming turnout, with supporters coming together to raise an impressive $2,000 in support of Hydrocephalus Canada’s programs and services. Over $37,000 has been donated to Hydrocephalus Canada since the first event took place in 2009!
This year, we aim to build on that success and continue supporting the critical work being done to improve the lives of those living with hydrocephalus.
