Hospice Muskoka is celebrating an incredible milestone this week, announcing that its annual Hike for Hospice fundraiser has exceeded expectations, raising a remarkable $126,610 — surpassing the initial goal of $125,000.
The event, which brings together community members in support of local palliative care and grief support services, saw overwhelming generosity from individuals, families, and local businesses. Participants hiked, walked, and rallied in support of compassionate end-of-life care for people across the Muskoka region.
Funds raised through Hike for Hospice go directly toward programs that provide palliative care, caregiver respite, and bereavement support to those in need — all offered at no cost to families.
Hospice Muskoka extended heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the event’s success.
The Hike for Hospice is held annually in October and continues to be a cornerstone event for Hospice Muskoka, bringing awareness and vital funding to its mission of providing dignity, comfort, and compassion at end-of-life.
