Muskoka Rock Choir is having their 10th Anniversary show in Huntsville on Saturday, December 3 at 7:30 pm at the Algonquin Theatre. This is going to be their biggest show ever with a stage overflowing with talent.
The 70-voice choir will be singing songs from Ed Sheeran, Amy Winehouse, The Who, Prince, The Psychedelic Furs, David Bowie, and Queen as well as Rag ‘N Bone Man, TLC, and many more, accompanied by a five-piece band.
There will be two special guest performances with the choir by Sean Cotton and Michael Phillips and two very special instrumental performances. Pianist Lauren McInnis, from Haliburton, will be performing the aria and variation #3 from Bach’s “Goldberg Variations” and Rene Lavoie, from Gatineau, will perform on his golden saxophone the Duke Ellington and John Coltrane jazz standard, In a Sentimental Mood.
The show is called ‘Human’ and the thematic narrative explores what it means to be human in this modern world.
Each season the choir donates the profits from their show to local charities. This season they will be singing for our local hospices.
There is also a concert in Bracebridge on Fri Dec 2nd, at 7:30 pm at the Rene Caisse Theatre.
Tickets are $40 at the box office in Huntsville or by email Interac transfer to [email protected] to get on the door list for festival seating in Bracebridge.
What a great way to start off your holiday season by treating yourself to a great night out and knowing you are supporting a great cause, hospice.
