A Huntsville man is behind bars after pleading guilty to a number of disturbing charges.
Appearing in a Bracebridge courtroom recently, Frank Lamb, 34, pled guilty to several charges including harassment, publishing intimate images without consent, mischief, assault causing bodily harm and breaching court orders.
Court heard that on May 27th, 2023, the Huntsville OPP was called to an address by a man who said an unwanted party was at his residence. The caller said a person unknown to him had come onto his property and knocked on his door at roughly 1:00 a.m. The victim said the unknown party, later identified as Lamb, appeared to have been in an altercation.
Lamb was looking for a man who was not at the residence and when he was asked to leave by the victim, Lamb became aggressive, the court heard. Lamb then punched the victim in the head several times and chased him through his house before the man was able to escape and hid in his garage. However, Lamb damaged several vehicles in the garage before the victim was able to escape and return to his house where he called the police. Lamb ran into the woods before the police arrived but was eventually caught.
The victim suffered a laceration to his hand during the melee which required five stitches.
The defence said Lamb has problems with cocaine and had been going through a difficult time personally.
A joint sentence was put forward for six months in jail and two years of probation.
