A 30-year-old Strathroy man has been fined and banned from driving after pleading guilty to impaired driving in a Bracebridge court.
Joshua Worlsley appeared in court recently after admitting to operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.
Court heard that on November 24, 2025, at approximately 7:40 p.m., officers with the Ontario Provincial Police were called after a member of the public reported a concerning driver on Highway 11 in the Bracebridge area.
The caller reported the vehicle was travelling at uneven speeds, drifting onto the shoulder, and nearly striking another vehicle from behind. Police located and stopped the vehicle, where they noted empty beer cans inside.
Investigators later confirmed the driver registered a breath reading of approximately 190 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood—more than twice the legal limit.
As a result of the conviction, Worsley was fined $2,000 and received a one-year driving prohibition.
