An impaired Muskoka driver is awaiting sentencing for a pair of convictions.
Appearing recently in a Bracebridge courtroom, Jassmine Brooks, 25, pled guilty to impaired driving and breaching the terms of her release conditions.
Court heard that on Oct. 12, 2022 at roughly 10:30 pm police were called to a motor vehicle collision in Lake of Bays Township.
A car was found crashed into a building at the intersection of Howard Street and Highway 117 in Baysville. Police determined that the vehicle had driven onto a lawn before hitting a planter box and then veering across the road and crashing into a building on the other side of the street.
Police smelled alcohol on the driver, Brooks, who ultimately blew readings of 130 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.
A pre-sentence report was ordered and the matter will return to court in Bracebridge.
