An Utterson man recently faced a Bracebridge court for his dangerous driving.
Jeremy Lamb, 45, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle with over 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.
According to police reports, on October 11, 2024, shortly before noon, an OPP officer was on patrol in a school zone on Wellington Street when he observed a vehicle near Armstrong Street that appeared to have an expired license. During the stop, the officer detected a strong smell of alcohol on Lamb’s breath, leading to his arrest on suspicion of impaired driving.
A subsequent breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol content of 211 mg per 100 ml—more than double the legal limit. As a result of his guilty plea, Lamb has been sentenced to a $2,000 fine and a one-year driving ban.
