Another impaired driver was in a Bracebridge courtroom recently to answer for her poor driving.
Sophie Noall, 20, pled guilty to driving with over 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood in her system.
Court heard that on October 23, 2024, a witness saw a potential impaired driver headed northbound on Hwy 11 in Huntsville. The witness observed the driver of the vehicle hit the guard rail and then leave the highway before crashing into a hydro pole.
Emergency services arrived and the driver, identified as Noall, was transported to the hospital where she was treated for her injuries. A sample of her blood revealed a reading of 164 mg of alcohol.
She was sentenced to a $2,500 fine and a 12-month driving ban.
