A Muskoka woman has pleaded guilty to driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in her system following a dramatic crash on High Falls Road last year.
Megan Allen, 39, appeared in Bracebridge court recently and entered a guilty plea in connection with the November 11, 2024 incident.
Court heard that at approximately 3:04 p.m., OPP officers were called to a collision on High Falls Road. A witness reported that a pickup truck had gone airborne before rolling and coming to rest upside down. Police confirmed that Allen was the driver.
Despite severe damage to the vehicle, no injuries were reported.
Allen provided breath samples registering 220 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood—nearly three times the legal limit.
She was fined $2,500 and received a 12-month driving prohibition.
