William Lohnes, 41, of MacTier, recently pleaded guilty in a Bracebridge courtroom to mischief, unlawfully being in a dwelling, obstructing police, and breaching probation.
Court heard that on September 12, 2025, OPP officers responded to a call regarding a dispute between two men in MacTier. The court was told the pair had engaged in a heated argument after Lohnes had gone onto the victim’s property the previous day. During the incident, Lohnes damaged the victim’s staircase, front door, television, railing, and other items.
When officers attempted to speak with him, Lohnes became argumentative. He fled the scene on foot and was chased approximately 50–70 metres by police before officers “took physical control” of him.
Lohnes also pleaded guilty to failing to report to his probation officer.
He was sentenced to 60 days in jail.
