Spring has sprung and the Muskoka Men of Song have just the ticket to put you in spirit.
On Friday, June 2 at 7 pm the men’s choir will host their annual Spring Concert at Pinegrove Fellowship Church in Bracebridge.
In addition to the Men of Song, the concert will also feature:
- Monck Public School Ukulele Singers
- Sean Kelly Bursary Recipients
- FOGG
- Muskoka’s Men Folk
- and The Muskoka Men of Song Choir
Founded in 1984, “The Muskoka Men of Song” is an open, men’s choral group based in South Muskoka. The members share a love of music, a desire to perform to the best of their ability and a dream of helping others realize their own musical potential through the “Sean Kelly Memorial Bursary Fund”. Over the past years we have awarded over $50,000 to young musicians in the Muskoka area, some of whom have gone on to great careers in music.
The money is raised at public concerts in June and December. Some bursary recipients perform in the program with the “Men of Song” during these concerts. They also sing as a public service at other events during the year. Remembrance Day, The Trek to Bethlehem in Bala, and retirement homes and funerals are included.
