MPP releases statement regarding the illegal discharge of firearms in Georgian Bay

“I share the residents of MacTier and Georgian Bay Township’s concerns regarding the irresponsible and dangerous discharge of firearms on Crown land. This reckless behavior threatens public safety and will not be tolerated.

I fully support the OPP’s investigation and their efforts to hold these individuals accountable.

The vast majority of firearms owners are responsible, law-abiding citizens who follow the rules and respect their communities. Their commitment to safety must be recognized. Regrettably, the actions of the individuals involved do a disservice to the thousands of responsible gun owners across Parry Sound–Muskoka.
