We’re thrilled to be introducing you to our 2024 Board of Directors, this is a group of people that was carefully chosen for their skills and interest in bettering the MA&C community. Let’s meet them.
Keith Johnson
Moving to Muskoka 14 years ago Keith Has made the transition from the golf industry from 20 years to Artist life. Opening the Hub Art Gallery in Port Carling in 2010 to 2012 then transitioning into Gallery 84. Keith Has since moved to Bracebridge in 2015 were he Opened Bracebridge Hall a collective Music venue and art space. Keith is excited to bring his artistic eye and business knowledge to the MAC Board.
John Yates is a CPA, CA, and spent the majority of his career in the publishing industry. Prior to retiring in 2021, John served as President, Publisher & CEO, and Director, of University of Toronto Press for many years. During his time at University of Toronto Press he volunteered as President of The Association of Canadian University Presses and as Secretary-Treasurer, Director of Livre Canada Books. After retiring, Joh pursued his passion as a landscape and wildlife photographer with a particular concentration in the Muskoka, Haliburton and Algonquin Park regions. He believes that this region is one of the most beautiful parts of Canada – if not the world. John gets inspired by the opportunity to share this spectacular scenery with others through his photography and hopes his work serves as a great reminder of what Canadians love about this part of Canada.
Sarah Dorbyk is an avid traveler, concert-goer, and lover of the arts. Her father is an accomplished painter and although he didn’t pass along his artistic gifts, she continues to involve herself in artist communities and enjoys exploring new artist exhibitions and more. When she’s not indulging in her passions, she is a National Customer Success Leader with Corporate Traveller. Sarah is extremely tech savvy and will help steer MAC in the right direction. Sarah is a proud member of the Muskoka Arts & Crafts board, and she hopes that her commitment and love for the arts will soon rub off on her 5-year-old daughter Namiri.
Hanna Dykstra
Hanna is designer and social media manager based in Gravenhurst On, with a background in marketing and advertising. Currently working as a community manager for a large stationery and greeting card wholesaler in Toronto, Hanna oversees online campaigns and manages the visual aspects of the brand. When not working she takes on small graphic design jobs and illustrates greeting cards that can be found in Indigo! Fun fact, Hanna designed the most recent banners for the Bracebridge BIA!
Terran McNeely is a Canadian painter based in Bracebridge Ontario. With a background in visual design, his work is influenced by the people and spaces around him through a bold and graphic lens. In addition to his private practice, Terran also manages global visual merchandising for the Canadian luxury outerwear brand Canada Goose, along with their acclaimed Canadian Artwork Collection that sits within their 50+ retail locations.
