Last fall, the Muskoka Authors Association had the pleasure of welcoming award-winning author David Giuliano, who captivated members with his reflections on why he writes and why he hopes people will read what he writes. This November, we are thrilled to announce his return engagement via ZOOM on Thursday, November 27.
In this interactive session, David Giuliano will lead a lively conversation exploring how we work as writers—the how, where, when, and what of our creative craft. He will also introduce his latest novel, The Upending of Wendall Forbes, tracing its journey from concept to completion and offering insight into his own unique and idiosyncratic creative process.
Participants will be invited to join the discussion, sharing their own approaches and experiences in what promises to be an engaging and inspiring exchange among writers of all levels.
David Giuliano is an award-winning writer of fiction and nonfiction books, essays, and poems. His novel, The Upending of Wendall Forbes, was launched in September. The Undertaking of Billy Buffone, David’s first novel, was the winner of the Bressani Prize for fiction. Postcards from the Valley, a collection of essays, was a Canadian bestseller. It’s Good to Be Here is a memoir about cancer, the metaphysics of medicine and the power of story to heal. He has also published two illustrated children’s books. David lives on the north shore of Lake Superior. www.davidgiuliano.ca
